ABOUT CRAIG GOLBY
Growing up in the prairies of Alberta, Canada Craig was not exposed to the vast, diverse landscape and variety of ecosystems as there are on Vancouver Island. Craig Moved to Victoria on Vancouver Island, British Columbia in 1991 where his photographic journey began.
Whether it was the striking sunsets, the incredible diversity of wildlife, or remarkable gardens and landscapes, Craig was trying to capture and share his images with others. However it was underwater where he found personal inner freedom, it was the one place he felt fully and completely at one with self and nature. When traveling the globe he would rather discover the wilderness or the beauty of the land and seascapes than a famous monument. Scuba diving was his awakening, that one thing that gives him an interconnectedness and harmony with the marine ecosystem without conflict. It’s this beauty that he tries to capture in his photography. Craig Golby Photography strives to reconnect guests with nature through photography.
Craig has a Diploma in Recreation and Sport Management, a Diploma in Nautical Science, and a Masters Degree in Environment and Management.
